In Mei trekken kleine aantallen Morinelplevieren langs de Nederlandse kust op weg van de halfwoestijnen in Noord Afrika naar Noorwegen. Door een aanhoudend noordwestenwind was een paartje op een natuurontwikkelingsgebied bij mij in de buurt gestrand en kon ik ze een paar dagen volgen.

Morinelplovers are rare visitors to the Netherlands, only just touching down on their way to the northern tundra and mountains. Recently a pair was delayed for a few days by a powerful northwestern wind. This gave me the opportunity to go back to the same site several times and try out different angles.
